Training of skilled labor
Annually, PRODERNA has been responsible for the training of dozens of professionals of the main companies that work in the region, such as: Vale, Eletronorte, Celpa, Albras / Alunorte, among others, demonstrating a strong integration of the Program with the job market. PRODERNA also presents itself as another collaborator in the provision of human resources for the development of teaching and research activities, through the insertion of professionals in public and private institutions of the Amazon region. The Program carries out research projects with regional and national companies, from which it is possible to form a human resources framework, transfer knowledge and technology and develop products / processes for such companies. In the triennium 2010/2012, 20 patents / requests for protection in projects in partnership with companies. In the current triennium there is already a request for five more patents. This activity receives the incentive of the Coordination Foundation for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
Revalidation of doctoral degrees obtained abroad by Brazilian and foreign citizens
PRODERNA, as a multidisciplinary Program, has been requested by the Pro-Rectory of Research and Post-Graduation of UFPA (PROPESP / UFPA), through its faculty, to revalidate doctoral degrees from the most diverse areas of engineering. The action is coordinated by the professors José Antonio da Silva Souza and Claudio José Cavalcante Blanco and counts on the involvement of all the Program teaching staff collaboration.
